WHERE IS IT HAPPENING?

HOW DID IT START?
A team of young professionals sharing a common passion for natural environment met in Nairobi 6th January 2010 and designed a strategy to make a successful environmental campaign. In August 2010 the team got registered as an NGO by the NGO Council of Kenya.
WHY CHILDREN?
Children are agents of change all over the world; their slow transition process from childhood, to adult instills in them experiences, lessons and values that guide them throughout their lives. Their involvement now will inspire real and sustainable environmental change all over the country.
Children are ambassadors of tomorrow in today’s world, their involvement in restoring nature today will see them protect it tomorrow; every child will have their tree grow as they grow a process of patience perseverance and hope which will naturally instill value to the growing tree and its sources.
The idea of involvement of children is affordable, sustainable and continuous; the NGO aims at making it a-tree-a-must for every child as a rite of passage from child hood to adulthood.

WHY THE CAMPAIGN?
We understand that global warming is real, that the earth is warming fast and that we ought to have acted yesterday.
To stop and reverse the advancing desertification and put to halt the eminent decline of natural resources we survive on.
To safeguard our today, our future and future of our children through our unyielding effort to reinstate Mother Nature
To re-establish the connection there existed between people and the natural environment
To prevent natural disasters like famines, floods, Landslides, Tsunamis and Earth quakes the likes of what happened in Japan and Haiti.
OUR CURRENT OBJECTIVES?
To give school children from all walks of live each an opportunity to plant a tree.
To empower communities through their children by awareness creation, attitude-change and discipline on matters pertaining natural environment and its conservation.
To breed environmental activism; this will propagate the war against environmental pollution beyond our borders.

HOW TO SUPPORT OUR CAUSE
The biggest way to support the cause; is to defend Mother Nature and to stop environmental pollution at a personal level.
Other support can be rendered through donations of money, tree seedlings, volunteer services and telling someone else about us.
